ABOUT ME

Welcome to my online language school English Dutch Step by Step!

My name is Kristina and I am a teacher of English and Dutch. I take great pleasure in helping my students achieve success and reach any goals they set in learning English and Dutch. My main objective is to teach confident language use. I place a strong emphasis on expanding vocabulary in my lessons and also help build a solid grammatical foundation so that you can easily overcome the language barrier and start speaking with ease!

I have extensive experience teaching English and Dutch in the Netherlands. I have worked with students of all age groups and levels (from A1 to C2). Recently, I have been focusing on teaching English and Dutch, preparing my students for the Dutch naturalization exams (Inburgering), as well as the U.S. citizenship exam.

In case you were wondering about my academic qualifications, I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching.

Additionally, I obtained a qualification as a translator in technical and professional communication. I also have experience studying abroad at an American school in New Jersey (Sparta High School).

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my three wonderful children. In my free time, you can often find me at CrossFit training sessions, preparing for competitions.

English language

In my English lessons, I use American English learning materials that have become highly popular and successful among many of my students (covering all levels, from Starter A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, to C2). These materials are a true bestseller from Oxford University Press and one of the most popular textbooks for adult learners of American English. The materials include a textbook, a workbook with exercises, as well as audio and video files. Additionally, I use extra resources tailored to the individual needs of each student. During our lessons, I identify the students' "weak spots" and prepare additional material on grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, writing, or speaking to accelerate progress and ensure even better quality learning. I also offer comprehensive support for learning business English at all levels, and I prepare students for the TOEFL exam.

Dutch language

In my Dutch lessons, I use popular and highly effective materials that are guaranteed to prepare you for a specific level of Dutch and ensure your success in the Inburgering exam. Recently, I went through the process of naturalization and integration myself, so I know exactly what you need for the exam!
